ABOUT THE GAME
Only the cells that should be opened,
Calculate from numbers.
``PROXX'' is a puzzle for browsers set in space, released by Google Chrome Labs in conjunction with Google I/O 2019. There may or may not be a black hole behind an unopened cell, and the goal is to open all cells without a black hole. Use the two operations Clear and Flag based on the number and blank space in the opened cell.
CLEAR, COUNT, FLAG
Blanks are zero,
Numbers are in 8 surrounding cells.
The official How to play explains that the number in the open cell indicates the number of black holes in the surrounding 8 cells, and if it is blank, there are no black holes nearby. You can place a Flag on cells that you think are holes. When you attach the required number of Flags around the number, the clue becomes active, and by selecting it, you can open the surrounding cells without Flags all at once.

Separate safe cells using numbers in 8 directions and Flag
The number is the number of black holes in the surrounding 8 cells including the top, bottom, left, right, and diagonals. Blank space indicates zero perimeter. Use Clear to open the cells judged to be safe, and use Flag to narrow down the entire board while leaving black hole candidates.
Setting the board surface from Easy to Custom
The starting screen has difficulty levels of Easy, Medium, Hard, and Custom, and displays the board's Width, Height, and Black holes. Custom allows you to change the width, height, and number of black holes to create a configuration different from the fixed preset.
Overlap Canvas display and DOM operation panel
According to the official production article, the screen animation is drawn using WebGL Canvas, and a transparent HTML table button is placed on top of it. Although it looks like Canvas, it uses DOM for operation and focus management, making it compatible with mouse, keyboard, touch, D-pad, and screen readers.
