Before you play
- Operation
- Use the mouse or touch to move around the map and select and command units. Once you have decided on your action, press Turn Done to proceed to the next turn.
- Mode
- Supports single player against AI, multiplayer, LongTurn, Play by Email, and Hotseat
- Language
- The main operation screens of the current web client are in English.
- Account
- You can also start single player anonymously. According to the official guide, an account is required to save the game.

ABOUT THE GAME
Cities, resources, technology,
Binding to the management of civilization.
``Freeciv-web'' is a turn-based strategy that deals with city construction, resource gathering, technological research, government, and military. Build a city from prehistoric tribes and command units across the map to run a civilization from the Stone Age to the Space Age.
THE FIRST TURN
From the known topography,
Select the first command.
Turn 1 in 4000 BCE features an isometric map of coasts, rivers, forests, mountains and resources, with multiple starting units, including workers. You can move to each map and civilization management screen from Map, Gov., Tech, Nations, and Cities at the top of the screen.

Connect city construction and resource collection on the map
The official repository lists building cities and gathering resources as core elements. Treat terrain, resources, cities, and units on the same map, and connect turn-by-turn orders to civilization production and expansion.
Technology, government, and military are all included in civilization management.
Gov. and Tech are placed in the top menu, and the national treasury, tax rate, luxury, and science distribution are displayed at the bottom of the screen. According to the official explanation, government formation and military building are also major mechanisms along with cities and resources.
You can choose from AI battles to long-term interpersonal battles.
In single player mode, you can start playing against Freeciv AI. In addition to regular multiplayer, the official website also offers LongTurn, which takes a longer turn, Play by Email, and Hotseat, which uses the same terminal in turns.

The purpose of the game, main mechanics, competitive mode, and release format are based on official information.
