ABOUT THE GAME
The code that moves the board,
Edit while having fun.
"Untrusted" is a meta-programming game where you guide the main character, Dr. Eval, to the exit. The JavaScript that generates each stage will be displayed on the screen, and you will think about how to proceed by changing only the parts that you are allowed to edit.
READ THE PLAYFIELD
From the position of the symbol,
Check the relationship with the exit.
The green @ is Dr. Eval. The computer and exit are in separate locations, and a block enclosure prevents movement. Distinguish where you can advance with the direction keys and the conditions that need to be changed on the code side.

Search for breakthroughs from editable parts
There are parts of the stage code that can be modified and parts that are protected. Think of ways to write that work on obstacles and progress conditions within the limits provided.
Check the execution result on the board
If you execute the edited content with Execute, the game state will be recreated according to the code. I go back and forth between reading the code and moving the main character to check it out.
Refer to API documentation on screen
The API Reference contains explanations of commands that can be used in-game. As you progress through the stages, you can examine the functions of the necessary commands.

- In addition to understanding English to read explanations in code and API documentation, you must understand JavaScript syntax
- How to proceed in the beginning
- Press the key on the title screen to start, then use the arrow keys to advance to the computer symbol. When the editor opens, read the description and see what editable areas are outside of the red background
- Fees/Support environment
- You can play the browser version from the creator's official website for free. For PCs where you can enter codes using the keyboard.
